First of all, thank you to everyone that subscribed and shared! I feel like Carrie Bradshaw but instead of looking chic and smoking a cigarette I am wearing a XXL maternity nightgown and eating a microwave quesadilla in my bed. I am hoping to make this a weekly occurrence, but in the interest of getting to know one another, I thought a second post was warranted. But first, some disclaimers. Number one, while there may be some tips and tricks inadvertently sprinkled into my writing, don’t mistake this Substack as a place for parenting advice. That is a lot of what I do in my outpatient therapy work, but the internet is currently inundated with parenting platforms (some really wonderful and helpful!) BUT parenting is not one size fits all, neither are children. I have five kids and they are all wildly different. I also have a very unique kiddo that the traditional parenting techniques flat out do not work with. So in lieu of great advice I am here to offer you some comfort. You are not alone! Parenting is hard, marriage is hard, life is hard. Why don’t we talk about it? Here, I’ll go first!
